Oh so many many
you can't keep track of 
one damn
thing 
after another 
thing 
things
like a cloud of mosquitos

Plus some 
things  
are made up of other 
things 
like say
things you don't want to talk about
which have been
made
which are
you guessed it
made up of
still others
like a gazillion Legos

Disappointingly
we can’t blame 
any one particular
thing
for there being so many of them,
like notes in a piano.
We blame Society.
Nothing to do now but wait.
 
Finally just imagine
a world without 
things
a void of them.
so flat 
you can see for miles,
so quiet
you can  hear
a handkerchief fall fall.
A world with just one  
thing
would suit me.
